Production Batch
This sideboard comes from a Piombini production batch and has remained available in its raw state, before the finishing stage. It is a new piece of furniture that is now being added to the Piombini Archive under a dedicated condition.
At the time of ordering, it will be completed in our carpentry workshop in the finish chosen from those indicated on this page, following the same artisanal processes and the same quality standards as Piombini production.

D'Este. The classic in its most authentic form
Three doors, three drawers, and generous proportions define an important piece of furniture, built to live in the home with balance.
Frames, raised panels, and decorations in Canaletto walnut shape the front with precision. The different woods meet in the grain and natural variations of the wood, leaving the material to play the leading role.
Its storage capacity is ample, yet remains integrated into a tidy design. A presence created for the dining room and living room, capable of moving through spaces and generations without losing its identity.
A form made to last
The value of D'Este comes from the balance between construction and decoration. Nothing is added to surprise: every frame, every variation in the wood, and every detail belong to the overall design of the piece.
It is a way of understanding the classic that does not follow a season. It lives on the quality of the materials, the proportions, and the work needed to turn them into something that can remain in the home for a long time.
Piombini Archive
The Piombini Archive preserves furniture that belongs to our production history and deserves to continue living in a new home.
Behind the three doors, the sideboard features three adjustable internal shelves, which make it possible to organize the space according to different needs. The three upper drawers complete the storage capacity while keeping the front design tidy.
Woods selected according to their function
The construction combines different wood species and wood-based supports, used according to the function of each element.
Structure, frames, top bands, door frames, and base plinth are made of solid Toulipier wood. The drawer structure is made of poplar plywood, while the fronts are made of slatted board veneered in Tanganika walnut wood and Toulipier.
Door panels, sides, bottoms, top, dividers, backs, and shelves are made of plywood and slatted board veneered in Tanganika walnut wood. The decorative details are enhanced with genuine Canaletto walnut wood.
Mechanisms and hinges are made of brass or zama alloy with an antique finish, chosen in harmony with the classic character of the piece.
Hand-applied finishes
Piombini finishes are not simple colors applied to the surface. They are created through successive processes that prepare, color, and finish the wood while leaving its grain and natural characteristics visible.
In wood finishes, the depth of the wood species and their natural grain are enhanced. In lacquered finishes, wear, antiquing, and patina effects are hand-worked especially along frames, profiles, and details, creating depth without artificially evening out the surface.
For this reason, slight differences in shade, tone, and intensity are part of the nature of handcrafted work and contribute to the identity of each piece of furniture.
Furniture care
To preserve the wood and finish over time, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and proximity to heat sources. Do not place very hot objects directly on the surfaces, and be careful with candles, diffusers, oily products, and substances containing alcohol, ammonia, solvents, or acids.
For everyday cleaning, use a soft cloth slightly dampened and then dry the surface. Wood is a natural material: grain, tone, and slight variations may evolve over time with light and environmental conditions.

Classic Finishes
Piombini's classic finishes bring out the furniture's authentic character: the warmth of wood, the depth of handcrafted details, and the distinctive appeal of antiqued and patinated surfaces.
The collection includes one wood finish, four full lacquer finishes, and four two-tone lacquer finishes. Each option brings elegance, rich texture, and craftsmanship to classic furniture.
Wood finish
A wood finish leaves the grain and natural color variations of the material visible. It is the choice most closely tied to the tradition of classic furniture: warm, rich and full of character, bringing the natural beauty of the wood to the fore.
It complements the wood, enhancing its grain, subtle tones and understated presence that makes each piece of furniture slightly different from the next.

To maintain the quality of your furniture over time, the simplest rule is also the most effective: do as little as possible.
For routine cleaning, a soft, dry cloth is all you need. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth and dry the surface immediately.
Avoid standing water, steam, direct heat sources, radiators and prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Do not use alcohol, acetone, solvents, ammonia, harsh detergents, abrasive sponges, waxes or polishes that are not specifically recommended for the furniture.
Do not place very hot, wet or damp objects directly on the surfaces.
We also recommend avoiding direct contact with silicone-based materials, such as certain feet or pads used under alarm clocks, televisions and decorative objects. Some silicones can affect the furniture's finish. To protect the surfaces, use standard felt pads instead.
Only use doilies that have not been treated with chemicals or stiffening agents applied during ironing.
Once your bedroom furniture is in place, we recommend waiting at least two weeks before placing objects on its top surfaces, to allow the finishes to settle in their new environment.
