A sideboard designed to stand the test of time
There are pieces of furniture that serve a function and pieces that help define a space.
The D'Este sideboard with 7 drawers and 2 doors belongs to the second category.
Its substantial proportions, combined with a balanced and never excessive design, make it possible to furnish with authority without weighing down the space. The seven central drawers and the two side doors create a tidy, harmonious composition, immediately conveying a sense of solidity and stability.
It is a piece born from the tradition of Italian cabinetmaking, reinterpreted with an elegant, timeless language, designed to remain current even after many years.
A focal point for the living area
With its 200 cm width, this sideboard is ideally suited to living rooms, dining rooms, and formal spaces where an important yet understated presence is required.
Its large storage capacity makes it easy to organize tableware, linens, documents, and everyday items while keeping the room tidy and functional.
At the same time, the piece becomes a central furnishing element, able to work in harmony with tables, bookcases, and display cabinets from the D'Este collection, creating cohesive and refined spaces.
The balance between functionality and character
The composition with seven drawers and two doors is not simply the result of an aesthetic choice.
Every element has been designed to offer practicality in everyday use, with differentiated compartments that make it possible to organize contents in a rational and immediate way.
The decorations on the doors introduce a distinctive detail that enriches the piece without being intrusive, while maintaining the formal balance that characterizes the entire D'Este collection.
A piece designed to last
The quality of a sideboard is not measured only by its appearance, but by its ability to accompany the home over time.
For this reason, every Piombini piece is born from a craft tradition built on more than one hundred years of experience, where design, woodworking, and attention to detail come together to create furnishings meant to be used, passed down, and cherished across generations.
A choice that goes beyond simple furnishing and becomes part of the story of the home.

Materials and construction
This sideboard from the D'Este collection is built with a focus on strength, durability, and high-quality materials. The frame, mouldings, shelf bands, door frames, and plinth are made from solid Toulipier wood, a timber prized in fine cabinetry for its long-term stability.
The drawers are built with a poplar plywood structure and fronts in slatted board veneered in Tanganyika Walnut and Toulipier. Door panels, sides, bottoms, top, dividers, backs, and shelves are made from plywood and slatted board veneered in Tanganyika Walnut.
The functional parts, hinges, and metal elements are made of brass or a zamak alloy with an antiqued finish, selected to ensure reliability and long-lasting use over time.
The value of the contrast between woods
One of the distinctive elements of the D'Este collection is the dialogue between different wood species. The cabinet structure highlights the natural elegance of Tanganyika Walnut, while the decorations applied to the doors are made of genuine Canaletto Walnut.
This contrast creates visual depth and character without being overpowering, while maintaining the formal balance that makes the D'Este collection recognisable and relevant even today.
Organization and functionality
The sideboard has seven central drawers and two large side compartments closed by doors. A configuration that makes it possible to organize tableware, linens, documents, and personal items while keeping everyday use tidy and practical.
Thanks to its balanced proportions, it is ideally suited to living rooms, dining rooms, grand entrances, and formal spaces, where it can serve both a storage and decorative function.
Available finishes
This sideboard is available in the finishes GRN14 Light Antique Bassano, 1515 Aged White, 2626 Aged Butter, 2828 Aged Dove Grey, and 1919 Aged Black.
Each finish is crafted by hand through manual processes that enhance the cabinet's shapes, mouldings, and construction details. In the lacquered versions, the worn and patinated effect is applied to the outer surfaces to add depth and character, while the interiors are finished uniformly, without wear or patina effects, to provide an elegant, bright, and orderly result.
Piombini artisanal quality
Since 1925, we have been making furniture designed to last. Each sideboard is born from the meeting of traditional craftsmanship, selected materials, and artisanal skills passed down through generations. An approach that continues to set every Piombini product apart for build quality, reliability, and long-term value.
Piombini Finishes
Material, color, harmony
Piombini finishes are design choices. They are created to bring balance between the furniture, the light, the walls, the fabrics, the leathers, and the atmosphere of the home.
Each shade has a distinct character: it brings warmth, adds depth, lightens a composition, makes a study more authoritative, or a sleeping area more welcoming.
A finish should be chosen with care. Its value lies in the whole: it creates harmony, continuity, and style throughout the spaces.
Classic Finishes
Piombini’s classic finishes enhance the furniture in its most authentic identity: the warmth of the wood, the depth of the handcrafted workmanship, and the character of antiqued and patinated surfaces.
The collection includes one wood finish, four solid lacquered finishes, and four two-tone lacquered finishes. Each option interprets classic furniture with elegance, substance, and craftsmanship.
Wood finish
The wood finish leaves the grain and the material’s natural color variations visible. It is the choice most closely tied to the tradition of classic furniture: warm, deep, lived-in, and able to bring the natural beauty of the wood to the forefront.
It complements the wood, enhancing its pattern, its shades, and that understated presence that makes each piece of furniture slightly different from the next.

To preserve the quality of the furniture over time, the simplest rule is also the most effective: do as little as possible.
For routine cleaning, simply use a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, a slightly damp cloth may be used, drying the surface immediately afterward.
Avoid standing water, steam, direct heat sources, radiators, and prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Do not use alcohol, acetone, solvents, ammonia, harsh detergents, abrasive sponges, waxes, or polishing products not specifically intended for the furniture.
Do not place very hot, wet, or damp objects directly on the surfaces.
It is also recommended not to place silicone-based materials directly on the surfaces, such as some pads or supports used under alarm clocks, televisions, and decorative objects. Some silicones may alter the furniture’s finish. To protect the surfaces, it is preferable to use ordinary felt pads.
Doilies should only be used if they have not been treated with chemical products or fixing substances applied during ironing.
After the bedroom furniture has been installed, we recommend waiting at least two weeks before placing objects on the top surfaces, so that the finishes can stabilize in the environment.

“I had the chance to appreciate not only the quality and beauty of the furniture, but above all the seriousness and care this furniture maker shows its customers even years after purchase. From the very beginning, I was assisted with great availability by Loris from customer service, a thoughtful, professional, and truly helpful person, who was able to advise me on the best solution to solve my problem.
Despite being about 700 km away, he personally went out of his way to find a qualified installer in my area, showing a level of availability and customer care that is far from taken for granted. I was extremely satisfied with the work carried out, performed with great professionalism, precision, and expertise by the company I was referred to.
So I can say with great satisfaction that the quality and reliability of the Piombini brand, as well as the beauty and craftsmanship of its furniture, go far beyond a simple purchase: it means continuing to be followed and supported even after years.
Congratulations to all the staff and, in particular, to Loris for the professionalism and availability shown. Highly recommended! 👏”
