Consolle Table Tiziano: construction and transformation

The Tiziano Console Table, code RH970, it is made with a base in Tilia wood`, legs in beech wood and slowly in High-density stabilized wood panel, plated in Tanganika walnut wood.

The choice of different materials serves the function of each element and contributes to the strength, balance, and stability of the furniture in its different configurations.

Tiziano can be progressively lengthened, adding only 50 cm at a timeThe five independent extension leaves let you freely choose the size best suited to the available space and number of people, without having to fully extend the table.

The open plan always maintains a width of 90 cm and a height of 76,5 cm.

The possible configurations are:

• with an extension: 100 × 90 cm;
• with two extensions: 150 × 90 cm;
• with three extensions: 200 × 90 cm;
• with four extensions: 250 × 90 cm;
• with five extensions: 300 × 90 cm.

The console can therefore become, one step at a time, a long table 1 meter, 1 and a half meters, 2 meters, 2 and a half meters, or 3 meters.

At maximum aperture of 300 × 90 cm, the table can accommodate up to 14 people.

A sturdy, precise opening

The opening system uses metal telescopic guides, designed to accompany the progressive extension and support the top in its various configurations.

The central support leg The mirror is built into the console and remains completely hidden when the cabinet is closed.

Every time the table is extended, the central leg must be lowered and properly placed on the floor. Its use is necessary to support the tabletop, distribute the load, and ensure stability for the entire structure.

The adjustable foot ensures proper support even in the presence of slight floor irregularities.

When not needed, the extensions

The five extension leaves are not stored inside the console table, but are kept separately.

They are delivered in a dedicated packaging, which we recommend keeping and reusing to protect them when they are not installed. The extension leaves should be stored in a dry, protected place, paying attention to the surfaces, edges, and finish.

Hand-finished

The surface preparation, staining, antiquing, and patination are carried out by hand in our workshop. Each stage requires time, experience, and sensitivity, because linden, beech, and Tanganyika walnut respond differently to the workmanship.

In the wood finishes, the colour keeps the grain visible and gives the surface depth and warmth. Tones and shades are balanced by hand to ensure continuity across the base, legs, top, and the five extension leaves.

The colour is hand-applied in the lacquered versions to achieve the distinctive effect distressed, antiqued, and patinated. The light wear highlights edges, contours, and construction details, while the patina softens the color and gives it a more authentic presence.

The result is not a perfectly uniform industrial surface. Small variations in tone, shading, and patina are the natural hallmark of artisanal craftsmanship and make every Piombini piece of furniture unique.
